These are my favorites of the images I’ve made in the last decade, primarily from the last couple years. My objective is to create new images for the collective imagination. Most the work is digitally created from my own drawings, photos, and endless work with the drawing tablet. Keep in mind that they are not just the images as you see them on your monitor, but were created at very high resolution with the intention of large format printing. Below the “gallery” are all the same images in standard format so you can click on them to see them maximized for your screen, and most have links to individual blog posts about them containing close-ups, process, meaning/interpretation, and even videos.
If you want to see work that shows an evolution of style, and can be seen as a cohesive body of work, focus on my digital paintings. I believe it’s better for artists to explore different angles and approaches to image making (if you are an image maker), rather than restricting oneself to one particular mode. Nevertheless, without trying, a lot of my work shows consistency.
Read an article about my digital painting from IEE Computer Graphics Magazine.
The images in the gallery are in reverse chronological order, with the newest first.
To find out more about my approach, see my about page, or the article above.
Below are the same images. Some have links to in depth posts about them with close-ups, and background information about the process, meaning, etc.
