It’s been more than a year since I’ve updated my New Art page, and it didn’t even include my Selfies From Alternate Universes series. It’s now revised to include all the recent work, with added thumbnail galleries and slideshows. I’ve reproduced it below.
And just a quick note. I find it odd and a little frustrating when well known artists don’t have their own site. I looked up Peter Doig the other day, and it’s just various shows and whatnot. And if you do go to an artist’s site, often it’s quite generic, plebeian, and minimal: usually just a CV and some thumbnail galleries with small images.
With me, you get it all. There’s individual posts for most all my creations, including close-ups, process, and what I was thinking about. There’s tons of art criticism and an index to find it. There are my (usually morning, over coffee) rants on various topics. There are even quite a few art pranks [ex., my fake art by famous artists, some of which are top hits in Google searches, and a couple of which have even been unwittingly featured in authoritative art videos]. to top if off with a bit of the personal, there’s a new series of 31 self-portraits so far (all as other people, but in the aggregate it’s me).
There’s no demand to disable your ad-blocker, nor a request for you to subscribe to continue reading… Like it or not, this has got to be one of the most comprehensive, rich and creamy artist’s sites out there.
Here’s the new version of the New Art page, or you can just go here.

These are my favorites of the images I’ve made in the last decade, primarily from the last several years. My objective is to create new images for the collective imagination. Most the work is digitally created from my own drawings, photos, and endless work with the drawing tablet. You could say I am a pioneer in using digital means for fine art purposes in the realm of imagery and the tradition of painting.
I’m engaged in a couple ongoing series:
1) Death’s Dream Kingdom
These are digital drawings done exclusively from the imagination, and unpremeditated. It is starting with a blank canvas and relying only on what I can come up with with my extant skills and creativity. You can see individual posts about each, with close-ups, process, and analysis… here. Below are the first 3 in a thumbnail gallery.
2) Selfies from Alternate Universes
I’ve created over 30 self-portraits, collaborating with AI, in which I never appear as my actual self, but as other ages, female, and even another race. These are large-scale digital paintings initially based on images created using FaceApp, but extensively edited, reworked, and recreated using software and traditional drawing/painting skills. Some are double portraits, set in peculiar locations, etc…. You can see posts for all of them, with details, process and meaning here. Below is a slideshow with thumbs of the images in the series so far:
Tapping the Unconscious
A third series is completed, and is made up of quicker images (taking up to several days) also done exclusively from the imagination and without premeditation. You can see that series of 49 images, with feature posts for every one, here. Below is a thumbnail slideshow.
Various images which are not part of a sustained series
These are in reverse-chronological order.
