Robots-composit-2-copy
Work in progress by me.

When people declared painting dead, they never envisioned that artists in the future would have access to complex computer programs, or make images of things like robots with artificial intelligence. With hindsight it’s obvious they were wrong. Everything that could be imagined hadn’t already been depicted, and no, photography can’t better capture what the mind can create with modern technology, traditional skills, and unfettered imagination. So, can we stop honoring a self-defeating, cynical idea that it’s useless to even try to make an original image? And instead, why not honor new and original images?
