Been living in Thailand for 295 days, which is 9 months and 20 days. I only know because I looked at my entry stamp in my passport yesterday. I came in on July the 6th, 2012, ‘n case you were wonderin’.

Came across an article about increase in numbers of tourists by nationality (over the last few months) , but I was more interested in which nationalities are making up most of the tourists. You might think the British or Americans are, but they are among the least. I made a custom pie chart in Excel, which I know how to do from years of temp work in a graphics department in JPMorgan in Manhattan (270 Park Ave., to be precise). Here, quite clearly, is a chart showing who the hey is coming to Thailand.

It’s mostly the Chinese tourists, at 25%, and my own countrymen are coming in at a mere 5%.
